About Alicia:

Hello Everyone!

My name is Alicia and I have had the wonderful opportunity of tutoring for over 15 years. I have worked with a multitude of students, ranging from elementary aged students to upper level college students. I believe that everyone has the ability to reach excellence through academics, and I believe that I can help you achieve your goals as students and future career-minded people. I tutor students in Language Arts (including grammar, reading, writing, and academic test prep), Math (general math up to grade 5, prealgebra, geometry, and some test prep), and Science (biology, anatomy, and physiology). I also cater to students who need help learning MLA and APA format for academic papers.

I have been an intervention teacher for exceptional students and I have experience tutoring students who are deaf/hard of hearing (I have some ASL experience). I believe in working toward a student's strengths in order to overcome challenges that a student may face in certain academic areas. Helping students achieve their goals is the most important thing a teacher or tutor can do in furthering a student's education.
